A native of Idaho, Marie Prescott Jenkins is listed in
Marquis (founded in 1899) Who's Who In America and Who's Who of
American Women. Jenkins has been very active in promotion of the arts, both
performing and visual, in communities, schools, and church for many years, as
well as teaching classes and workshops.
She developed a love of the
outdoors early in life finding great excitement in color and dynamic lighting.
Jenkins prefers painting outdoors and is a plein aire artist who enjoys
the direct and vital experience of assessing the scene as it is subjected to
personal interpretation. "Striving for excellence is never-ending," says
Jenkins.
Use of
color harmony, along with a charming style, are two strong aspects of her work
and strike a lasting chord. Collectors comment that they never tire of viewing
her paintings, as enough is left to pique the imagination.
Her training
includes USU, Snow College, numerous workshops including impressionism and
classicism, where skills and techniques have been enhanced and refined. Her
paintings have been included in private, corporate, municipal, ecumenical
collections in the US, Europe, Asia. They have been included in traveling shows
and in galleries in Idaho, Utah and Wyoming.

Jenkins by email for list of present galleries and workshop info.
